High Holiday Learning Series: Part 1

RSVP

Description

Join us for the first part of our High Holiday Learning series: "Why Do Something Rather than Do Nothing?: Thoughts on a theory of just action" with Rabbi Aryeh Cohen.

This Elul, as we prepare for the High Holidays, we look around at the state of the world and we ask ourselves: "Why do something rather than do nothing?"  Join our Rabbi in Residence Aryeh Cohen to discuss!

Many of our role models from Moses to Queen Esther to Rabbi Akiva to Abraham Joshua Heschel to Dolores Huerta to Ella Baker stand out for having done something when others did not in the face of grave injustice, and often danger. Why did they do that? Why should we? Should we?

(See the second part of our High Holiday Learning series "Weighing our Souls, Putting our Bodies into Action: High Holiday Prep For Urgent Times" here.)
