Sukkot Canvass in Orange County to Build the House With Love

RSVP Here!

As part of the observance of Sukkot, when Jews all over the world build temporary houses, Jews will canvass and phone bank to build another House (of Representatives) — by working to replace members of Congress who enable Trump’s immoral agenda.

Join us on September 23rd from 11:00am to 3:00pm for a "Build this House with Love" Sukkot canvassing day in SoCal as part of Interrupt Trump 2018, the largest Jewish grassroots election effort to mobilize voters in response to this historically dangerous time in our country

As we fight back against family separations, the Supreme Court's decision to uphold the Muslim Ban, and more, we're clear that if we can replace Trump’s enablers in Congress, we can stem the tide of inhumane policies coming from the White House.

Rep. Mimi Walters has been a consistent Trump enabler in Congress, voting in lockstep with him over 95% of the time. Walters has voted against her constituents' best interests with her support for unraveling the Affordable Care Act and cutting taxes for the wealthy. But Hillary Clinton beat Donald Trump in this district by over 5%. Now Democrat Katie Porter, a professor and consumer advocate, could flip this critical seat.

We're mobilizing constituents of CA-45 and nearby supporters who deserve a Member of Congress that will stand up for ALL their constituents — including immigrants, Muslims, people of color, and more.

Here's how it happens:

  • 11:00-12:00 we'll get to know each other, enjoy potluck food, have a canvas training and get everyone set up to canvas
  • 12:00-2:45 we'll hit our routes in pairs and knock on voters' doors
  • 2:45 we'll come back and debrief and talk next steps
