Jews of Color Virtual Havdalah

RSVP

Description

Please register in advance and have your household join us in the kitchen for April 24 Havdalah over Zoom with the SoCal Bend the Arc community! Like all spaces our events create, this will be an exciting, fresh, and inclusive coming-together for people of color who identify as Jewish, no matter their level of involvement. Jewish people identified as Mizrahi and/or Sephardic are welcome in our diversity and no one will be turned away with advance registration.

We will be meeting virtually at 4 PST, and get to know each other during an afternoon “cook-along” over video. Bend the Arc and partners have made the generous offer to support us with procurement of an uncooked meal for each participant… including delivery of the meal kit! (You need to coordinate this with us.) Participants need internet access during the Shabbat afternoon and should have Zoom’s app installed to participate.

Please register today if you’re a JOCSM who can include our fun, affirming celebration of ritual and our personal lived experiences during observance of your Shabbat afternoon, and please complete the event’s diner survey the week it is emailed to you. Please note: registration closes on April 11th.

This Havdalah is led and organized by Bend the Arc volunteer leaders in Southern California.
