LA County is home to the largest jail system in the world. It is our duty to reform it.
That’s why we’re activating our Jewish community to join our partners at Reform LA County Jails in supporting the Yes on R ballot measure. And we need you to commit to voting YES on March 3.
Measure R is our response to the systemic corruption and structural oppression that has shaped the lives of black and brown residents, the homeless, and people who struggle with mental illness, substance use disorder, or disability in LA County. It is a historic, unprecedented shift towards a future based on care, not cages.
If it passes, it will be the largest reallocation of funding away from incarceration and into community services in the history of the country, and it will open the door to more sweeping reforms in the future.
Take the pledge to vote YES on R on March 3. Together we can build a Jewish movement for this ballot measure and beyond.
