Join us on October 14th from 12:00-4:00pm for a canvass in SoCal as part of Interrupt Trump 2018, the largest Jewish grassroots election effort to mobilize voters in response to this historically dangerous time in our country
As we fight back against family separations, the Supreme Court's decision to uphold the Muslim Ban, and more, we're clear that if we can replace Trump’s enablers in Congress, we can stem the tide of inhumane policies coming from the White House.
Rep. Steve Knight has been one of Trump's greatest enablers in Congress, voting in lockstep with him 98.8% of the time. Knight won this district by only 16,349 votes (6.3%) in the last election. But Hillary Clinton beat Donald Trump in this district by 6.7%. Now Democrat Katie Hill, the founder of a local non-profit that develops affordable housing, could flip this critical seat.
We're mobilizing constituents of CA-25 and nearby supporters who deserve a Member of Congress that will stand up for ALL their constituents — including immigrants, Muslims, people of color, and more.
Here's how it happens:
- 12:00-1:00 we'll get to know each other, enjoy potluck food, have a canvas training and get everyone set up to canvas
- 1:00-3:45 we'll hit our routes in pairs and knock on voters' doors
- 3:45 we'll come back and debrief and talk next steps
